Wand Crafting Workshop on 21st August 2021

Wands, staffs and rods are special tools used in certain magical rituals. Although certain traditions assign the wand and staff to either the element air or the element fire, most practitioners use these tools as a general aid to their magic rituals.
Magic wands and staffs help to concentrate and direct your own personal power. They are used to collect, store, direct and finally release energy to and from a certain point.
Some practitioners may own only one wand or staff for conducting their magic while others may have a collection of wands and staffs, one for each type of magic ritual they perform. Although wood is traditionally used, wands and staffs may also be created from a variety of materials including glass, clay, gemstone, metal, or resin.
Wands are often made from a fallen tree branch and finding such a tree branch should be thought of as a gift from nature.Should you cut a branch to use for your magic wand, ask for permission from the tree spirits before cutting the branch.
The wood we will be using came from our glorious, apple tree, which has been growing in our garden for over 20 years, when needing pruning I have asked permission from our tree to use her offerings. These wands have been blessed and prepared for you to craft your own wand, setting the intention for which you choose to use your wand.
Why I use Apple (Pyrus malus), This tree is associated with eternal youth, fertility magic, love spells, ancient knowledge, strength, healing and wisdom. The apple tree is also known as the fruit of the underworld. The goddess Freya is associated with this tree, crafting an apple wand a beautiful choice to use for goddess-based magic.
Tools and materials including copper, resin, cement, adornments will be provided for you to craft your wand.
Crystals are not included in price of workshop, please bring your own crystals if you wish to adorn your wand with crystals, especially a quartz point which help direct energies, although these can be purchased on the day.
